Job Overview

QA Automation and Manual Testing Engineer is a critical member of the Product Development team and is responsible for managing the growth and automation of our test suite which forms a key part of our QA release cycle.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining the test automation framework
  • Execution of automated test scripts and tracking reported defects
  • Execution of regression testing using automated test scripts
  • Assist development team in executing manual regression testing where needed
  • Reporting and following up on defect resolution
  • Assist team in preparation of teat data and reviewing tickets
  • Concise documentation of technical procedures and user guides
  • Critical thinking on how to handle complex scenarios and come up with a possible solution
  • Experience in creating automation test scripts/projects from scratch
  • Contribute to the existing automation project for improvement
  • Develop detailed automated test plans, scenarios, and expected outcomes to validate the accuracy and performance of each feature and enhancement (including defect resolution) based on the defined requirements and use cases
  • Code automated tests using the Cypress.io test framework with tests written in JavaScript
  • Execute tests of product features and enhancements as well as manage defect resolution to ensure the software is working as designed
  • Support our existing manual test executions when required by working as part of the manual test team during regression testing

A Successful Candidate Must Have

  • Previous experience as a test automation engineer
  • Excellent logical reasoning and communication skills
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented skills
  • Experience testing ReactJS based web applications
  • Have worked with one or both of the following test automation tools (Cypress, Selenium)
