Roles and Responsibilities

  • Interpret RFIs, ASIs, Bulletins, Change Documents for potential cost impact
  • Overlay construction plans and provides a narrative of changes
  • Perform Quantity takeoffs in OST and Bluebeam
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors, to identify and resolve discrepancies in pricing, via email, and via phone
  • Follow up on pricing requests, track down pricing from subcontractors
  • Compare subcontractors’ change order log to O’Neil Subcontractor Tracking log. Identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare Change Order pricing packages, so the packages are ready for submission to the Owner
  • Support Change Management Team Lead

Required Experience

  • 3 years minimum combined work experience in building construction and estimating
  • Proficient or knowledgeable with the following software programs: MS Office, On-Screen Takeoff, BlueBeam, Box, CMiC, PlanGrid
  • Familiar with the Uniform Building Code (UBC), International Building Code (IBC), and International Code Council (ICC)Familiar with different types of building construction (i.e.Type I; II; III; IV; V)
  • Familiar with the different types of estimating format (by Trade; by Division and Systems or Assembly)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or any related field

A Successful Candidate Must Have

  • Project Management skills
  • Ability to perform quantity surveys (take-offs) and identify different construction materials
  • The ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet
  • Proficiency in reading plans, drawings, specifications, and other construction documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Keen attention to detail
