Roles and Responsibilities

  • Build, develop and manage from the ground up, a hub team to support internal and external company functions:
    – A shared services center for global functions supporting sales and marketing, finance, HR, and administration
    – A multi-language customer support team that provides high-quality technical and sales support for end-users of our product and service, including retailers, distributors, and other partners
  • Attract, train and retain a high-performing team that takes accountability for the delivery of high-quality outcomes
  • Manage a team size expected to be between 10-15 with future plans to scale to support business growth
  • Operate a 24/7 phone, chat, and email helpdesk for our global customer base
  • Manage and report on KPIs for all the various company functions
  • Analyze data and produce reports for the executive management team
  • Document and deploy processes to onboard new team members and ensure a high level of training is provided
  • Project manage the transfer of work and transitional activities to the Shared Services Hub
  • Operate in a highly efficient and lean mode and constantly look for improvements that can be made to operational processes for both efficiency and service quality gains
  • Solid understanding and competent in all aspects of Australian accounting standards and taxation including – accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, business reporting

A Successful Candidate Must Have

  • Off-shoring project management experience
  • Previous experience establishing, coaching, developing, and leading a high-performance team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Able to easily convey and communicate complex ideas and presentations to all levels of management
  • Ability to travel to Australia for training and other onboarding activities
  • Detailed knowledge and previous experience using Xero, the companies accounting systems
  • High level of working knowledge of MS Office365 systems, including Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, and Sharepoint

Experience Advantage

  • Connected Wearables or IOT experience and understanding
  • Consumer electronics supply chain and/or manufacturing experience
  • Financial management experience
  • Working with Australian-based companies who have operations in all global time zones
  • Previous experience with Lean methodology or Six Sigma processes
  • Secondary European language desirable
  • Spacetalk is an Australian publicly listed company and previous experience and knowledge of the company’s obligations will be highly regarded
  • Previous experience using CIN7 or other inventory and order management systems
  • Previous experience using Shopify eCommerce platforms
  • Experience level: 20 years, master’s degree or equivalent
