About the client

The client is a leading pharmacy banner group within the Australian retail pharmacy industry, with over 125 pharmacy members Australia-wide.

The client requires a dynamic and motivated individual who will be responsible for assisting our marketing and merchandising manager in all aspects of marketing and merchandising for the Client pharmacy banner group.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Production of the client’s monthly catalogs from beginning to end along with setting up price tickets and other point-of-sale (except for graphic design work which will be done by a graphic designer)
  • Maintaining client trading terms and special deals, ensuring all terms and deals are set up correctly at the wholesalers and for each and every member
  • Maintaining the Client product file, ensuring all product information and images are current and correct
  • Maintaining the client’s pricing file, which includes obtaining and maintaining prices on all OTC products (from websites and suppliers)
  • Liaising with suppliers with regards to the client catalogues, client trading terms and special deals, the client product file, and member orders and allocations
  • Maintaining products on the client’s online store and on the client members portal
  • Other tasks required by the marketing and merchandising manager from time-to-time

A Successful Candidate Must Have

  • Extensive experience in pharmacy buying, marketing, and merchandising, ideally at a pharmacy banner group level, eg: Watson’s Head Office
  • Understanding of and experience in community pharmacies, especially with regards to over-the-counter products
  • Excellent organization skills and a high level of detail
  • Strong ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and work well under pressure without compromising the accuracy of work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional working environment
  • Ability to interact and communicate with suppliers and other client employees
  • Excellent English skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Good knowledge of other Microsoft Office software
