Job Description

The Senior QA Engineer is responsible for bridging the development and product teams to ensure the quality products are delivered to our customers. You will be responsible for checking and clarifying acceptance criteria with the development and product teams, doing exploratory testing to find regressions, and supporting the test goals using automated test suites as part of a continuous integration pipeline

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive quality assurance testing to guarantee functional and aesthetic standards
  • Work with Scrum team members in an Agile approach to analyse project requirements with the goal of increasing efficiency in testing deliverables and decreasing risk
  • Suggest improvements to functionality, design, and usability of new features
  • Cultivate, maintain, and improve QA testing as an SME across different products and platforms
  • Identify test scenarios, write, and execute detailed test cases, develop, and execute manual smoke, functional, integration, and regression test
  • Evaluate and test change requests to determine that the software meets the defined requirements
  • Work collaboratively within a high-performance team to clarify and test business/functional requirements and effectively deal with issues as they arise
  • Conduct program and template testing using exploratory functional test cases, and regression models
  • Responsible for defect tracking, communication, and resolution throughout the software testing lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, mobile testing, big data testing, cross-platform testing, component testing, security testing, performance testing, UI/UX testing, A/B testing
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Well-developed technical testing skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with business and technical personnel and work effectively in a team environment of the testing process
  • TMap, ISEB, ISTQB certification desirable

Required Experience

  • At least 5 years of working experience and a solid understanding of QA concepts, best practices, processes, and tools
  • Experience testing enterprise-level software systems (Desktop, Web, and Mobile)
  • Experience with SDLC and methodologies like Agile, Scrum, and waterfall
  • Experience in using QA tools:
  • Jira
  • Zendesk
  • Zephyr / Xray or any related testing management tool
  • Postman or any related API testing tools

Minimum Qualification

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Industry certifications desirable
